|MAC Creme Cup lipstick £14|
After browsing in MAC the other day, I decided that I wanted to enter into the world of nude lipsticks after reading so much about the infamous Shy Girl, Hue & Creme Cup. I had a little swatching session and Creme Cup was the pinkest of the bunch, which is good for me because the only other nude I own (Rimmel's Nude Delight) completely blanks out my lips, so I wanted something with a little more colour.
Creme Cup is a Cremesheen finish, which I have had a good experience with after owning Crosswires. It is a very creamy, moisturising formula which is great if lipsticks tend to dry out your lips, which often happens to me. Creme Cup is described as a 'light blue pink' which I think sums it up well. Blue toned colours are meant to make your teeth look whiter which is always a plus, and I would describe it more of a pale pink than a nude shade which is the category it is often put in. It's a gorgeous, easy to wear colour which is said to look great on most skin tones. I personally think this shade would work best on skin tones such as mine or paler, as I found that this did look a little too pale on me at first but it is a grower.
This is my third MAC lipstick, and my first ever pale pink shade, and so far I'm pleased! I'm interested in getting another MAC nude, and would love some ideas from you guys on which nude is the best shade for my skin tone! Preferably one which doesn't give that dreaded 'concealer lip' look!
