Hello all!
Just quickly I'd like to welcome my few new followers, and say a big thank you to everyone that has followed and commented - I've hit 50 followers and even though it isn't a lot in comparison to some bloggers, for me it's a litte milestone! I really enjoy writing this blog and I wish I had the time to do more, but I am currently in the last stages of my degree so it's proving quite hard, but I hope to get a lot more content up when I finish in May!
Anyway, apologies aside, I've thought up a new little weekly feature that I want to test-run. I love finding new websites, music, tv shows, products etc. and I often stumble across them via friends, bloggers or other recommendations, and I thought that by sharing something that I'm loving each week, it might be a nice way to introduce you guys to something new! It will also be fun for it to be somewhat unrelated to beauty, because I would like to include more varied posts every now and again! If you guys have any ideas for a better title, give me a shout!
So this week I wanted to talk about this website that I stumbled across yesterday through Zoella's latest YouTube video, because I've been trying to find something like it for a while but haven't managed to come across anything that works just as well as this does!
The website is Wantworthy.com. It's basically an online wish-list creator which you can create an account with and add items via a button in your bookmarks bar. Up to now I have been using Wishlistr.com which is good but it only gives a link to the item you want and you have to enter all other information you want, and there are no categories to choose from either.
Wantworthy works so well because when you click the '+ Want' button in your bookmarks bar, it automatically assumes the name of the item, brand and price and then all you have to do is put it in a category which you have created (such as clothing, skincare, technology etc.).
One of the main aspects about the website that converted me from Wishlistr though was the design. I'm a sucker for anything with a smooth, user friendly design and this website has just that. They need to create an app now, that would be the cherry on top of the cake!

I constantly have a list of things that I want, as I'm sure most of you do, and I think that this is a great way of keeping track of things, and would be perfect for birthdays and Christmas; when someone wants a little help in knowing what to get you!
Finally, you can also add your friends and see their wish-lists which I think is a great idea, so I'm going to try and rope some of my friends in, and I would love to have a nosey at what you guys have your eyes on so add me at wantworthy.com/lauracarless if you decide to make an account!
Also, I just wanted to mention, on the topic of the Google Reader/GFC situation, if you don't already know, Black & Gold is also on:
&
so if you would like to continue reading my blog, you can follow me on one or both of these sites!

DeleteLooks great but I already use Svpply!
ReplyDeletethis looks far less pretty than wantworthy as a wish list, but amazing as it tracks the prices of everything you pin and emails you when the price drops. really good if you are looking for a bargain!
