So my nail polish collection has reached a point where I felt that it was due a post of its own! Compared to other bloggers collections it's quite small, but for me it's fairly big now! I've got a nice selection of brights, nudes and darks, whereas before it was mainly reds and nudes, so I thought now was the perfect time for this post! I've listed and labeled each colour, and will go through some of my
- Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine 'Satsuma'
- Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine 'Papaya'
- Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine 'Blueberry'
- Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine 'Lychee'
- Barry M 'Mushroom'
- Barry M 'Black Red'
- Barry M 'Gold Glitter' (one coat over Barry M 'Lychee')
- Rimmel 60 Seconds 'Rapid Ruby'
- Rimmel 60 Seconds 'Instyle Coral'
- Rimmel 60 Seconds 'At Ease'
- Topshop 'Big Smoke'
- Topshop 'Country Bumpkin'
- No7 'Highland Mist'
- No7 'Damson Dream'
- MUA Shade 21'Toffee'
- H&M 'Looks Great On You'
- Models Own 'Zest a Peel'
- Nails Inc 'Victoria'
I started the collection with my newest and current favourite shade, Barry M's Gelly Hi-Shine in 'Satsuma' (1). I now have four of these polishes without even realising! It seems I really like them, which I do! They are opaque in one coat and have a gorgeous colour range. 'Satsuma' is a beautiful bright orangey red. Anna from Vivianna Does Makeup compared it to Chanel's Holiday which swayed me into buying it straight away, because I've been lusting after this polish but couldn't bring myself to spend the money!
Nails Inc 'Victoria' (18) is a gorgeous, vampy deep red, perfect for autumn and winter, but it takes a few coats to stop it from being streaky!
Rimmel's 'Instyle Coral' (9) is another new purchase, and it's a bright coral pink shade, which will be great for the summer!
I didn't realise how popular Barry M's 'Mushroom was, but I picked this up last year and it's a great dark neutral, although I'm enjoying the brighter shades at the moment!
I forgot how much I loved Topshop's 'Country Bumpkin' (12), which is a lovely terracotta orange. It looks great in the summer with light wash denim and florals!
MUA's Shade 21 is a colour I've only worn once, but it's one of those greige shades with a hint of lilac, which I really love, so will definitely be wearing this one again soon!
Last but not least, Models Own 'Zest a Peel' has never braced my nails because I tried it on when I bought it and hated it because it was so bright, but goodness knows why, because it's a stunning colour, with a slight shimmer. I definitely need to give this another chance, but personally I think this shade would work better on paler skin tones!
I hope you enjoyed this post!
What's your all time favourite polish? I'd love to know!
