FOTD: Gold eyes & coral lips.

It's been a while since I did my last FOTD style post, and I have added a few new items into the daily makeup routine, so I thought I'd update it!

For my base I've been religiously using the Laura Mercier Silk Creme ever since I bought it, apart from when I'm working or staying at home, when I go for my trusty (and a whole lot cheaper!!) Rimmel Wake Me Up. Silk Creme really is all its bigged up to be. It gives fantastic, natural looking coverage and my shade (Medium Ivory) is a perfect match for me.

Underneath my base I've been using a new primer, Collection's Primed & Ready, and even though it is really siliconey, I find it does make my makeup last longer, and gives a smooth base to apply your foundation on, so it is doing its job! When the girl at the Laura Mercier counter colour matched me, she used their primer, which is lovely and moisturising, so ideally I would like to get that but I cannot justify spending even more money right now!
For concealer I'm still using the Collection Lasting Perfection, it can't be beaten!

I've been steering towards a gold eye quite frequently this past week, using shades from the Naked 2 palette including YDK, Chopper and Half Baked. Here I'm wearing Half Baked all over the lid and swept underneath the eye with my new favourite double ended brush (from H&M?! Surely not...post coming soon!)

Through my brows I've used NYX True Taupe eyeshadow, which works well but I am planning to go to a MAC counter to see which eyeshadow of theirs would be best for my brows, as the NYX shadow is quite powdery.

On my cheeks is a new love of mine, and a bloggers favourite, Boots' Natural Collecion Blush in 'Peach Melba'. My oh my is this a beauty. It's soft and oh-so-flattering.

Now onto the lips, one of the main reasons for this post!
I picked it up today and I'm in love. It's one of the new Maybelline Colour Sensational Vivids in 'Shocking Coral'. To me, it's more of a pink than a coral, but its gorgeous either way. It's not too matte, not too glossy, and has a lovely creamy texture and applies like a dream!

Last, but surely not least, I had to mention my nails!
I just painted them in the stunning 'Satsuma' Gelly Hi-Shine by Barry M, and wow-eee I love it! I topped it with Seche Vite for extra shine (I'm loving the glossy nails right now!)

So, I hope you enjoyed this post! My lighting needs to be better, but being at uni everyday leaves me little time to take photographs in natural light. When the summer comes and uni is over (eeeek!!) I can take lots of better lit photographs, and update my blog far more often which I'm looking forward to!

Hope you're all having a lovely day!
