Happy February! The month of love, or the slushy commercial holiday. I don't hate Valentines day, I have a boyfriend and I'm happy, but I don't want it to be a big deal. I just think its a good excuse for a meal out! I do hate the awful cards and trashy gifts that go along with it though. But enough of that, spring is coming so I am trying to push out the black and greys and bring some colour into my wardrobe! This bright orange Topshop cami looks perfect for that. During the colder months I could layer it up with a knit, but come spring I think this would look lovely with some skinny light wash jeans. Did I mention this is my all-time favourite colour by the way?!
I seriously want this navy dress from ASOS, the style is right up my street and looks like the kind of piece that can be dressed up and down.
One item that I just have to get my hands on is the Zara City bag. I've been hunting for something to carry my laptop to uni in and I can't find the perfect bag..but I think this is it. It looks to have has three compartments and even little card and phone pockets inside, and I love a bag with lots of special pockets and this is entirely that! Plus the lining is a beautiful deep red and it has gold hardware which is what I like in a bag. At only £50 it's not too expensive for such a nicely designed, functional bag! This will be mine...very soon I'm sure.
I'm a sucker for a nice knit and this cream number from Topshop has caught my eye. I looks soft and comfortable and I think it'd look really classic with a biker jacket, jeans and ankle boots (and that bag!). It seems to be only available online which is a shame cause I like to try them on in store first but it might a purchase soon anyway!
Last but not least, I've been reading lots of reviews on Laura Mercier's Silk Creme foundation. This is quite pricey but it's so pigmented, so a little would really go a long way. Apparently the coverage is great too, and this just sounds like something that would suit me. I got matched up in Selfridges and I'm medium ivory, so I can just order this when I want, but I would like to get a tester first to see if I get along with it. I've been doing this with two other high end foundations, but I'll do a post on that later!
I'd love to know if any of you have tried Silk Creme and what you think!
Also, do you enjoy these kinds of posts? Feedback is always appreciated!
