October Glossybox

Another first here! I signed up for Glossybox a couple of weeks ago as a treat, only for 3 months to lead me up to Christmas, so if I like it I could ask for a subscription as a gift! I have read a lot of reviews of the boxes and it seemed like a really good value way of trying out some higher end products, and it's always nice to get pretty packages through the door, right?!

So this is the October Glossybox, the 'DIY Beauty' edition. The box is a cute, baby pink and the sticker inside states that Glossybox supports Breast Cancer Care, which is great.

Included in the box this month was:

Anatomicals Don't Just Clean It Woman, Scrub It body scrub
This. Smells. Amazing. It is a pink grapefruit body scrub. I'm always up for trying out a new scrub and this one was pretty good! It left my skin feeling very soft and refreshed :)

Olay Regenerist 3-Point Treatment Cream
This is a teeny little 7ml tester of their award-winning moisturiser, in its new fragrance free formula. I'm in need of a good moisturiser so I put this in my make up bag and have been using it for about a week now, and I can't say I'm massively impressed. For a moisturiser that retails at £29.99 for 50ml I expected it to be better! You need a fair amount of it to actually make your skin feel moisturised so I could imagine going through 50ml very rapidly. I haven't found a moisturiser that I love yet, and I am not keen on spending a lot for something that just goes under all my make up, so if anyone has any recommendations they will be very welcome!

Skinetica Anti-Blemish
This anti-blemish solution claims to sooth, calm and clear acne, spots, pimples and blemishes, and it couldn't come at a better time as I've have a little outbreak of spots on my forehead which are driving me mad. It's time like these I wish I had a full fringe again so I could hide them! I gave this a try about 4-5 nights in a row followed by some Freederm spot gel and it seemed to do the trick, but it's hardly an overnight success. I reckon this would tackle spots in their early stage but I think mine were a little hard to cure, so I will keep this on hand for next time!

Yves Rocher France Moisturising Cream Lipstick
Yay! A full size lipstick in my first Glossybox :) I am a lucky girl. I have heard a few good things about Yves Rocher from Glossybox reviews by Zoella, and I am very pleased with this lipstick! The colour stays put really well and the colour, whilst not being my first choice, is actually really lovely. It's a deep, autumnal plum shade with a creamy, velvety texture when applied to the lips.
Here are some photos of the lipstick:

Dr Jart Premium Beauty Balm
Another product I was really excited to see in the box! I read a review of this and some other BB creams by Lily Pebbles just the other day, and she said that this was her favourite, so I was keen to try it out. I had a homey day last week so I thought I'd give it a go then. Lily was right about the greyish colour when it's straight out of the bottle, but when I blended it in it changed to suit my natural colour. It took a couple of layers to get a good coverage and as expected, I still had to use my trusty Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection concealer to cover up any red areas but this was a nice, natural look! It's great to know that it's probably doing your skin some good for a day!

So, that's it! My first ever Glossybox review :) I am so looking forward to getting my next one!

Also, apologies on the lack of posts recently, but I really have been so under pressure with uni, but I will be strict with myself and make sure I post at least once a week! It's nice to take a break from uni from time to time!!

Anyone else get this Glossybox? Or are you thinking of signing up? I think it would be a great christmas pressie!!
